Baptized in the Holy Spirit
When Paul came to Ephesus he found twelve disciples. He asked them, "did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"
They answered, "we have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit."
They went on to say that they had been baptized by John. Paul told them that John's baptism was a baptism of repentance, but that they needed to believe in Jesus, who came after John.
Paul then baptized them in the name of Jesus and laid hands on them.
"The Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied."
(Acts 19:1-6)
If you, like these twelve men, believe in Jesus, then you are a candidate to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. You don't have to do anything special: you just have to ask!
"For everyone you asks receives...if a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? ...If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?" (Luke 11:10-13)
